A verbatim inspired piece of theatre incorporating extracts of interviews with couples who have experienced postnatal depression. It’s a story of a couple who meet, have a baby and descend into the frightening world of maternal mental illness.

Documental Theatre is a Devon based theatre making collective founded by writers Cally Hayes & Lucy Bell. We make theatre inspired by lived experience. Fundamental to our productions, is the process of research based writing. Documental combines refreshingly honest new writing with testimony and vibrant physicality.
